A Night of Inspiration
On March 5th, I had the pleasure of attending the Junior Achievement Spirit of Achievement Awards Dinner at the JW Marriott in downtown Tampa. It was a powerful evening dedicated to a cause close to my heart: preparing and inspiring our youth to succeed in a global economy.
JA is transforming the student experience by bringing relevance and authenticity into everyday learning. Seeing that energy in person—watching students get excited about their future possibilities—is exactly why I choose to invest my time here.
Celebrating 20 Years of Muma BizTown
The highlight of the evening was celebrating a massive milestone: 20 years of Muma BizTown. If you haven’t seen BizTown in action, it’s a game-changer. It gives students the chance to step into the “real world” before they even hit middle school. Through a fully immersive simulation, these kids become CEOs, Mayors, and CFOs for the day. They learn how businesses operate, how to manage money, and how their individual decisions shape an entire community.
To date, Muma BizTown has impacted over 300,000 students. Being in a room full of leaders dedicated to empowering these kids with confidence and responsibility was a truly special experience.

We also took a moment to recognize the remarkable individuals receiving the Junior Achievement USA National Leadership Awards. These leaders demonstrate a steadfast commitment to student success, and their examples serve as a blueprint for the kind of leadership we advocate for at MVPartners.
